| Correction...we legislate morality when we have laws on the books that punish murder, theft, etc., so that really isn't the iseue here. There really IS a religiosity in a lot of ways, though, but you would be surprised at who is pointing it out, as there are those who accuse Christians of being lawless because they don't follow the exact policies of the Torah.
That being said, we as Christians need to follow a higher standard of living WITHOUT trying to be pushy. Loving your neighbor, praying for someone who is in trouble spiritually is part of that whole process. It's not rocket science, but it DOES go a long ways. |

Actually, I was arguing that this Gay Marriage business is not out of love, but out of hate and anger. We hate the sinner in this country, and then we try to legislate them into what we deem as appropriate behaviour. Operating in fear never glorifies God. But I agree with your points anyway.
