Pillars of Tranquility

Standing desolate, spiritually famished, bones protruding from my
flesh, as years of black desert winds have lashed across my face and
pounded hard upon my chest.

Re-occurring taunting memories of my wickedness, a daily reminder
of what has brought me to this god-forsaken place, my own selfish
existence.

This trek to reconciliation has not come without a hefty price, so
many carcasses I've walked over, so many scars I've inflicted, my
stained mind has been seduced into believing damnation was alright.

Yearning incisively to just touch the gate, my hands are in the
form of an exiled leper, boils have transformed this thing I once
called my face.

With one final inhale, my war torn body collapses, as flowing blood
from my mouth begins to exhale, the tips of my fingers reach the gate,
freedom at last awaits, unsealing my holocaust fate.

As the colossal gates gradually begin to open, my eyes immediately
zoom in to focus on this river of human blood, and floating atop I see
a wooden cross and nails carrying a sign that says "All sins have been
accounted for, now I offer you freely my love."

Then suddenly from behind me, I was startled by a still small voice, saying

turn around my precious child, I'd like to personally welcome you to the

Pillars of Tranquility.

From that moment on, an invisible wind had somehow elevated my
feet, as I glided in perfect harmony to my next destination, the Garden
of Serenity.

Children walking hand in hand with innocent faces, abounding love
has filled what was once so jaded, every human in the eyes of another,
has made an eternal pact, to live unified as sisters and brothers.

Next stop, the Trail of Prosperity, a spiritual safe haven
promoting one's victorious destiny, each step shall be recorded within
the sands of time, forever silencing the echoes of ties that once did
bind.

Now my precious child, as you embark to embrace this radiant light,
vivid passings of a pure crystal oasis shall permeate your dreams each
night, for true serenity can be found within a world of chaotic
insanity, just come freely anytime to the Pillars of Tranquility.

Life and death, energy and peace. If I stop today it was still worth it. Even the terrible mistakes that I made and would have unmade if I could. The pains that have burned me and scarred my soul, it was worth it, for having been allowed to walk where I've walked, which was to hell on earth, heaven on earth, back again, into, under, far in between, through it, in it, and above.
