well folks,

i'm not exactly loving life right now.

i mean it's good and all,

but i've come to the conclusion that death wouldn't be so bad. im not suicidal or anything, but yeah.

i love music......i think this is good, but it seems like i love it more than people....i dont know..

life's been good to me, i shouldn't complain as much as i do, but i do it still.....maybe..i dunno, but i have a couple questions.

I have finally seen the end of the race. I see who has won, who died along the way and who came in last.

Its over. I have lost the greatest thing (possession) that I ever had. My job. Narced out with built up stories by one old man. Too old to pummel to death, Too old to retaliate against. The race is over. I lost.

Time for some peace, rest, solace and comfort.

......according to this person who continues to email my Pastor.

He feels sorry for John because I must be so difficult to live with.

This is the 3rd person who has said this and ironically, the other two were a Wiccan and a worship leader turned Scientologist.

Hi! I'm new here. I really needed some advice on a music related issue. I hope I posted this in the right forum. :p

Now that I am able to drive and not depend on others to get around I would like to get out more. BUT, the problem is my Mother doesn't like anything that's not Christian. I would like to go out to concerts and select Goth clubs. Yet, I know that my parents wouldn't approve. I am very selective about the bands I listen to. ESPECIALLY, the secular ones. If I like a secular band ...

I don't know how many times people have told me that they are praying for me. I always appreciate the effort, but I usually realize that it simply isn't true. Besides, I don't think we really understand much about prayer anyway. It has become a Christian "clich�" at best.

All most of you, I am now a deacon at our church, Warehouse 242. This Sunday, I will serve communion for the first time as deacon.

We have five stations of two leaders (one elder and one deacon) when we serve. People come up in groups of 12 and we serve each of them individually. Then we pray for the group of 12, alternating between deacon and elder praying. Each station usually serves about five to six groups of 12 (or so) people.

I do not take this lightly and neither does our church. ...

If I was to change my lifestyle and live it in direct agreement with the Holy Scriptures YET, dont believe all of the Holy Scriptures, would that be Heresy?

About a month ago, Tommy and I lost our jobs at TS Tech. You know, the one with the bright, bright future and the two weeks' paid company shut downs and immediate one week vacation? The one that would have let us go to Cornerstone? That one.

The cool thing is that now we have all kinds of people from TS Tech coming to our bible study! LOL

But anyways what happened is first I got walking pneumonia and Tommy got bronchitis. We were troopers though, and didn't miss ANY work while ...

My youngest son, who is 30, got married. It was a very touching affair. I cried. The best man was my step son ( who I raised from 6 months old). His speech brought tears. Awesome time. I thought I would share a few pics.

This is the flower girl and she is also my 5 yr old grand duaghter. The woman behind her in the black and white dress and big shades is her mother, my duaghter in law.

Other than playing in a band I fool with sound with some freinds that run sound for christian groups ..We ran sound for FLYLEAF ,or actually that was PASSERBY befor they got thier recording deal ,and are now known as FLYLEAF ...They Rock ..They live about 30 miles east of us here ..If you havent heard flyleaf ,I suggest you try to find a copy of thier cd ...Thier great !!!.......

so i've got this friend..

i've known her for about a year now...and she's just really great.

she live with both of her parents, but doenst have a very good relationship with either. and she told me today that she hasn't been told she's loved in she doesn't know how long.

so i just ask that you guys would pray for her now and then, pray for her strength emotionally, and that she would just feel like she's loved....it would really mean the world to me.

How many of you miss the old MTV? I remember first getting the channel in 1983. Back then it was 24/7 music videos and on Saturday nights concerts. Oh yeah and how about the old Headbangers Ball. I used to watch that show every Saturday night with friends. Times have changed as we all know and the channel sucks big time now. So what are some of your memories of the old MTV??

This just happens to be one of my favorite bands, and it's local music....some of the lyrics are a bit..questionable, as far as profanity goes. But it's the some of the most original music since Elvis.
