Suicide Threat - Prayer Request

Subject: Suicide Threat - Prayer Request Tue Apr 15, 2008 4:01 am

A young man who comes to our bible study and is Tommy's best friend says he is going to kill himself this coming Saturday. Tonight we took him out to eat for his 18th birthday and told him we love him. It seemed to make some difference but not much. His mom and grandma know but aren't doing a whole lot about it. They are really stressed out most of the time and seem to be having a hard time thinking clearly about what to do about it. Please pray for him, that God breathes life into his dry bones.

This wasn't Tommy, this is one of Tommy's friends. His best friend, in fact!

So I have good news. On his MySpace it had said:

Reikoku Akimurei "has sewn his lips shut and is in the first stage of committing Hari Kari".

So...our friend Rob called him up and he and Tommy talked to him. They are gonna go over and hang out tomorrow at 1:00 until bible study (leaving him no time to commit Hari Kari, LOL) and then he says he's coming to bible study!!!!!!

Then he'll be spending the night for Tommy's b-day party and going to church w/us Sunday morning.

........and getting his cake I'm gonna make for him and Tommy's b-day, and the Demonhunter CD I'm getting him tomorrow (ssssshhhh!!!)

Sounds like a pretty busy weekend, much, much too busy for suicide.
