| | I may disagree with the Judaizers in Paltalk a LOT, but when it comes to certain things about the Law, they DO have a point. Now, I'm not saying we should adhere to the dietary laws completely, but I think they DO have a point about certain things being clean and unclean. What say you? |

| the TORAH is there to show us how messed up we really are. it never did justify anyone, only condemn.
i think in leviticus (i do not fully understand that book, and i may be wrong), some of the laws were for the cohens.
the levites were a priestly tribe, who communed with YHWH. these laws were given to them. i BELIEVE, certain laws (perhaps the weird ones, about wearing clothes woven of two fabrics), may have been for them and not all of isreal. what do you think? |

| you know, i followed this thread from an email. i did not see what the topic actually was! sorry...
you know, i agree with the lady rocker. i mean, no, dietary laws were for the OT people, and the sky was opened to peter!
but, they DID have a valid point. the kosher society is VERY strict about what goes into food, and it is really too bad our FDA does not care about these things in the same way, and that they are in it to line their own pockets!!! i wish there was a candidate who would propose an FDA reform! (sorry i just brought this down to politics. :-( ) |

| Well I think many of the laws were there for our health . Take pork for example, the body just wasnt made to digest it....Its unhealthy. again just my take on it. _________________ ~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~ An original "Neo-Maxi Zoom Dweebie" ~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+ Metalvikng's Myspace site. http://www.myspace.com/jimburns65 My blog mirror for those without myspace. http://jb8814.livejournal.com |

| Ew, carnitas. Sorry I had some really bad ones in Mexico my senior year of high school. I can't digest pork very good, either, so I and my family mostly eat turkey products...turkey ham, turkey sausage, etc. I think it tastes better, too but that's my opinion. I think that a lot of what we eat today should be considered "unclean", not because of the Bible saying so, so much, but moreso because it's just plain bad for us. Like SUGAR! >: |

| I dont like sugar that much, stuff like chocolate, candy, cakes and stuff I dont like. I eat primarily MEAT... I was a Vegan for two years but honestly I gained so much weight and felt so unhealthy that I had to give it up. _________________ ~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~ An original "Neo-Maxi Zoom Dweebie" ~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+ Metalvikng's Myspace site. http://www.myspace.com/jimburns65 My blog mirror for those without myspace. http://jb8814.livejournal.com |

| After I got out of the hospital and weighed only 87 pounds, as soon as I physically could eat, I decided to just eat whatever all the time. Now, eh I'm realizing that's not a good idea all the time LOL! My hubby is a sweetie and say he loves me no matter how much I weigh - as long as I'm not that skinny again! I actually was reading in the bible about clean and unclean meats awhile ago and I just didn't understand it. _________________ Life and death, energy and peace.
