| Score two million more points for God, Jesus and His Holy Spirit!!!!!!!!
Remember the kid who was gonna kill himself? He had the spot picked out, and on his MySpace it said that he was in the first stage of committing Hari Kari. He told us he was gonna commit Hari Kari, too, and that he wouldn't be seeing us Saturday at Bible study, that he always planned on killing himself on his 18th b/d (which was this past Tuesday) and although we all told him we loved him, etc, he insisted that this was goodbye and that nobody could change his mind.
This is one of my son Tommy's BEST friends.
So we were having a Passover Seder at our youth bible study, right? And in case you've never been to one, there are four cups in the Seder. The fourth cup represents the hope for your future and the acceptance of God's grace in your life. But I'll save that part for later.
There is one of the three matzohs that you use (unleavened bread) that you break, and then you hide it in the house, and traditionally the children find it. It's called the afikomen. The afikomen not only represents your hope for your future, but also the hope of the coming Messiah. So, we had the "children" (the teenagers) go find it. This kid was the one to find it! I told him that I felt like it was kinda neat that he was the one to find it, since he had planned on not having a future.
So....we got to the fourth cup.......and I explained to everyone, please do not drink this cup unless you either have accepted Jesus as your Savior, or are ready to accept Him (because not everyone is a believer yet in our group). I thought for sure this kiddo would just set his down. So, John blessed it, and I saw this kid look at it and hesitate and then --- down the hatch!
And I knew...........I just knew..............
And sure enough......where there used to be a constant frown, he couldn't stop smiling. He started laughing and his formerly dark, troubled brown eyes began to sparkle. Afterwards I asked him point blank if he had accepted Jesus and he said yes!
Five different people, two of them skeptics who usually don't "see" or experience spiritual things much, all experienced something that for the sake of those who seem sensitive to this stuff on here.........I'll just say they felt it leave.
So, this kid went outside, and a bunch of us prayed with him and he asked the Holy Spirit to come and fill him! It was so cool. A half hour later, this kid who had been saying he was a necromancer and was going to commit suicide, had his hand on somebody, powerfully praying over them!
I just knew when I met him, that he would be unstoppable.
I'm so excited, I don't think I felt more butterflies than on my wedding day. I don't think I would be more excited if I were pregnant!
To me - leading somebody to the Lord is as exciting as having a baby would be to me.
I have always loved this little boy er, young man (now that he's eighteen) like a son or a little brother and now he really is my little brother in the Lord!!!
He also says he's going with us to see Adele Gray on my birthday.
It was an awesome, awesome weekend you guys. Our Seder was SO cool. Missy taught us how to dance the Horah! Can't you just see us? It was total mayhem.
I don't know why, but God is moving like crazy around here lately and I hope things like this start happening everywhere, and I pray that things just as awesome as these things happen to all of you if they haven't already!!!!!
