| Woohoo! That's awesome bro!
Me, well, I kina fell off the wagon. I got down to 205 before Calistone cuz nobody likes a fat rockstar. But by the time we actually played the gig I was back to 215. After that I sorta let it go for a while. Now I'm back with it.
The best thing about being fit is being fit. You feel so much better. You can do things so much better. Life just feels so much better.
Still, it ain't easy. Hats off to you brother. That's great. |

| Great job! My hubby is dieting. Me on the other hand...this last March when I got out of the hospital after a horrible 3 month stay I weighed 87 pounds! I'm just 5 feet tall too.It was awful! I was like a walking skeleton and having weighed like 160 in my high school days and struggling to get down to 120 I can tell you that people are actually kind of meaner to you when you're really thin. I mean when you're overweight they snicker at you but if you're too thin total strangers will ask you "Are you sick?" or "Do you have an eating disorder or something?" or they just take a step back and go "Um..are you ok?" or my favorite was "What's wrong with you?" I weigh about 140 now and except for the fact I only have a few outfits that fit I am ok with my weight. I would like to tone up a little but that would mean I have to work out and as I tell everyone "I wouldn't run if Freddy, Jason and a legion of blood thirsty zombies was chasing me!" But keep up the great work. Now is the hardest time to diet,if you can survive the holidays dieting you can survive anytime! _________________ And (Saint)Peter goes ‘If you know about mans suffering on earth, why do so many horrible things happen to good people?’ And God said, ‘Because I love them so much that I pour pain upon them so that the transition from life to death will be more profound for them and they will appreciate my gift more than the others - Peter Steele

| Dieting has always been next to impossible for me. I just dont have the willpower to not eat when im hungry.. My health has declined horribly with my rising weight. I am quite obese now, I am only six foot tall and weigh in at 270 pounds. One day things will kick in I hope and I will get some willpower like the Tinkmeister. |

| | Yeah, well. I had some motivation. A bad flare up of arthritis in my knees sent me to see the Doc. He said drop 50 lbs. or take the knife. I am not up for any more surgery so I decided to drop the pounds...lol... |

| That's awesome, Tink. Me? I won't be dieting any time soon. That could prove disastrous for me, and people who have seen me up close and in person will know why. |

| I've lost tons of weight. I don't know exactly how much, but all my size 22's are falling off of me. It's been the switch to warehouse work. If only my body would cooperate with me I could pull this off. Seems as soon as I lose some weight I get sick and gain it back. It's really frustrating. I'll just say that back in my "Calvary Chapel" days, I was in a size 28 if that tells you anything. And, I tried on a 2x shirt the other day, on my friend Jessie's request, with her swearing up & down it would fit me (I've always worn a 3x) and it DID. And it was BIG on me. I know, I'm scared, too. O.o |

| So, I meant to ask this before Tink. HOW are you doing it? Me, I'm on the diabetic diet, or at least trying to - when $$$ is tight it's kinda hard, you have to take what you can get. But I've found that something that really helps me a LOT is eating as much whole grains as possible, when I eat grains. Also drinking an apple and an orange every morning, ran through the juicer, along with a healthy breakfast, helps. I only really eat twice a day and the rest of the day I have small snacks when I'm supposed to (the diabetic diet says you have to). It's slow going but it's working and the weight is staying off. I would recommend the diabetic diet for anybody. Just go to your doctor and ask for the purple booklet, it's free. Here's a healthy (and cheap) recipe we made tonight that was actually really good. John (who is actually quite a cook) came up with it. It cost about $5 bucks to make a big pot. This has all four food groups in it and really sticks to your ribs. It's getting cold here in Ohio, so that's a good thing. Cajun Lentil Soup One turkey kielbasa, sliced "The Trilogy" (it's what Jessie says the Cajuns call it) Celery, onion and green pepper, finely chopped and sauteed in butter or olive oil One jar of spaghetti or marinara sauce One package of lentils Italian seasoning and red pepper to taste Soak lentils and cook according to directions. Sautee' the Trilogy and turkey kielbasa together in an iron skillet or frying pan, in oil or butter. Add spaghetti sauce and sauteed mixture to lentils. Add seasonings to taste. Top with part skim mozzerella. YOU GONE LIKE IT, I GUAR-OHN-TEE!!!!! lol |
