| I have many many many many many many many many (did I say a lot?) of song parodies I've written, and some stuck in my brain. Okay? BUT ---- I don't want to write and/or record them and get sued. Do any of you music industry types (not just peanut gallery types - people who actually know this stuff) have any idea of what all I have to do in order to parody somebody's song without losing my shirt???? Thx!

| As long as it's a parody and not the actual song that you are recording, you should be ok. It's called Fair Use. Check out this link http://www.publaw.com/parody.html However, I'm not a lawyer (yet), so it wouldn't hurt to consult one before you record. |

That's not quite true. You can still make money with it. |
