| Tonight, I'm doing something a little different for Christian Rock and Fellowship. We are starting our first-ever Match Game. If anyone has ever seen the game from the 70's, you'll know how it works. We have a six-member panel and two contestants. The two contestants have to match what's on the panel. Whoever has the most matches wins prizes. Prizes include CDs, Itunes, T-shirts, and a nickname upgrade.
We already have everyone in place who's going to be playing. We will need a good-sized audience. Should this ever become something we do on a monthly basis, then we will need more players, so if you would like to see how we do it, then come on to CRF and get a good look at how we do this.  |

Provided, on nights where we don't have any artist interviews, we'll do a nice Match Game segment almost every month. April seems to be full, but I'll check the schedule to see what dates are available. Most likely, we'll do a new one in May, if nothing else. |

| "Match Game" was a TV game show back in the 70's, with host, the late Gene Rayburn. The six member panel consisted of celebrities. Probably, the most popular of them were Brett Somers, Charles Nelson Reiley, Richard Dawson, Fannie Flagg and Betty White just to name a few. The host would read a question out to both the celebrity panel and the contestant who had a turn to get a match. The panel would write down their answers, and when the time was up, the contestant would then give their answer. The panel had to match up with the contestant.
A typical "Match Game" question would go as follows, and we did this one in CRF last time:
"Back in 2005, Tink was driving us to our hotel. On the way, we hit something we thought might've been a possum, to which he exclaimed, 'That's gonna leave a _________.'"
There's a lot more questions like that, but you can probably see a lot of the old "Match Game" shows on YouTube. Be advised that some of the older material was fairly racy, so use caution. |
