Thanks for the calls to check on me. I am no where near the fires so I am cool. I spoke to Dave today and he seems OK for now. Im sure he will have something to say but as for me, all is well thanks.

Yep. They were worried that the fires would make there way to the coast, but such is not the case. Praise the Lord! Smile

I was looking at the Cornerstone pics just now...hard to believe that entire area is up in smoke. We are in Trabuco Canyon and the flames are creeping up our mountain....so pray, pray pray!! Kinda scary, but we know the Lord is in control!

Thanks for your prayers! The fire really crept up the canyon last night...but the air drops of H2O and flame retartant started up with sunrise. We are actually still allowed to be in our home...but the flames are now 3-4 miles away. We decided to pack up the cars just in case. Kinda hard to decide exactly where to go to as the air quality is pretty bad everywhere.

Keep praying!! There is more humidity today and that is totally a plus!

It's kina sobering how it is really a day by day thing.
More than one community that has been considered completely safe one day has ended up in flames the next.
Praying for an end to the destruction and the safety of our neighbors throughout San Diego and L.A.

The smoke has made it to Palm Springs. I work in Redlands just below the Arrowhead fires so I have been dealing with it there but now its settled here. Its like dusk out and you can barely see the sun.

Yeah, we didn't see the sun all Monday and most of Tuesday. Just a weird orange tint over everything.

The smoke is starting to filter into Central California. Not too bad, but it is VERY hazy.

Praise God! The flames are over the hill!! That is...over the hill and away from major housing areas!! We could only see red glow last night...and not actual flames!! The air quality is even a tiny bit better today. Now, I just don't know how to start getting all the debris out of the pool Smile

Our church is organizing a clean up this weekend. We are going in the hard hit areas to help our neighboors clean up the yards and streets. I am so excited to get out of the house and help our neighboors move past all this.

The fire is sitll burning....we are continuing to pray for the fire fighters....and praying that it stays away from the homes in Orange County!

The big news is that the Santa Ana winds have subsided.
This is why the fires became what they did and that the Santa Anas have stop means that while there is always a danger of fire this time of year, any fires that pop up now ought to be managable for our local fire companies.
