Don't think the two are actually one in the same, because you'll find out that very few Jews who have been taught by the rabbis actually know much about the Old Testament. In fact, you ask your average anti-missionary who tries to turn the Messianic community away from Christianity, and they won't know a thing about the history of Israel. One in particular couldn't tell you about Gideon, Samson or any of the other judges mentioned in the Scriptures.
I know a few Jews who are in my community. I wonder if they actually took the time to read the Law and the Prophets at a clearer angle, would they see that Yeshua (Jesus) was the promised Messiah that was foretold 500 years before His actual coming?
