The Calvinist

In a nutshell, the calvinist pretty much believes the vast majority of humanity is evil and damned to Hell, that God wants it that way and is pleased by their damnation. So the verse "God so loved the world" becomes kind of a pseudo love, a love that God has already made for the vast mojority, impossible to respond to. To wit, God created millions and millions of people to provide the backdrop of darkness for his diamonds of redemption to shine, their damnation causes his objects of mercy to shine more brightly, to appreciate His "love" more deeply.

Hmm, sounds a lot like Fred Phelps to me!

I don't believe in calvinists or arminians. I'm not aware of any evidence for their existence.

Meh, I just read the Word. I'm not sure what that makes me. Just some dude who loves God?

i know it doesn't say "calvin", but the point is the same. we spend so much time subscribing to MEN instead of GOD!

i belive some of the basics of calvinism, though i do not want to call myself a "calvinist". (just as i visit baptist churches, but do not want to call myself a "baptist"!).

i do not understand predestination, as i do not understand the vast mind of god. it is taught all over the bible, though. JUDE spoke of those "who were marked out for this condemnation".

God knows who will and will not be saved. MAN DOESNT!
